Yesterday was my first real reward to myself. I am 60 years old and have NEVER had a manicure, let alone had acrylic nails applied. I am loving this. I also got a surprise check in the mail this week and went out and spent a lot of it on ME!
Sometime this next week I will be getting my first wig ever. I have not started losing my hair -- don't even know if I will, but I decided I am not happy with how short I got my hair cut. So, fortunately, I will be able to have a nice hairstyle when I go see Dr. McKinlay in a couple of weeks.
And, early next month I will be getting new glasses.
New me. New clothes (smaller sizes) and all of the above. I am Sooooo happy I have made the decision to make such a change in my life.
I don't know if I am losing enough weight rapidly enough, but I am happy with my weight loss at this point. I am about 75 pounds away from my goal. I think that at every 25-pound loss, from this point forward, I will have to try to come up with a new way to reward myself. Any suggestions?
Way to go, Linda! Pampering yourself means that you are loving the new you. :) I collect dolls, and some of my rewards have been new dolls or accessories for the ones I have. Other rewards have been perfume, lotions, and other skin care products. Jewelry also makes good rewards....
